Personal investigator Lucas Douglas (Michael Weston), a personality encouraged in part by Shore's enjoy of The Rockford Information, appears in three episodes of Period five. House to begin with hires Douglas to spy on Wilson, who has ended their friendship soon after Volakis' Demise (the friendship is subsequently rekindled). House later pays Doug
